WHICH GUITAR SHOULD I BUY, ACOUSTIC OR ELECTRICAL?

Are you a beginner who wants to learn and ready to purchase a guitar? What should be the best choice for you between an acoustic or electric guitar?

There is no right or wrong answer when choosing between acoustic and electrical, just go for the instrument that feels right for you.

We shall look at both options and consider their pros and cons.

Electric guitars are easier for beginners to play because they require less effort to push down the strings and keep them held down.

However, the beginner will have to struggle to fret the heavy steel strings of an acoustic guitar at first. If you learn on an acoustic guitar, you will have to build some hand and finger strength before you can play anything. If you build it early with an acoustic guitar, it will make your transition to electric guitar very easy.

Learning on an acoustic guitar means that you will give yourself a chance to develop  dexterity and flexibility right from the beginning.

Learning on an electric guitar will give you a false sense of  achievement by making it seem too easy.

The  entry level acoustic guitars and electric guitars  fall into almost the same general price range, therefore,  budget should not be a limiting factor.

Avoid going for the cheapest guitar possible for the sake of saving money. You always get what you pay for. It is not a question of extravagance, but try to invest a little bit more and wisely in your first guitar no matter what type it is. You will be assured of  the best performance.

Depending on the type of music you wish to play, you should buy the guitar that will make you enjoy when playing it.
If you like rock music and interested in playing lead guitar, go for an electric guitar. If you are more interested in rhythm and like folk sound, an acoustic guitar will be a good choice.
